This Sushi Short-Grain White Rice from Good & Gather™ is a versatile rice that's great for more than just sushi. This short-grain rice can also be paired with chicken or pork katsu, miso-glazed salmon, and much more. The classic sticky texture is sure to delight, and since the rice is also kosher, you can share it with the whole family.DirectionsStovetop - to prepare 2 cups dry rice (about 4 cups cooked) 1. Rinse rice with cold water until water runs clear. Drain well. 2. Combine 2 cups rice and 4 cups water in saucepan. 3. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover. 4. Simmer 15 minutes or until water is absorbed. Remove lid and fluff. Electric Pressure Cooker – to prepare 2 cups dry rice (about 5 cups cooked) 1. Rinse rice with cold water until water runs clear. Drain well. 2. Combine 2 cups water and 2 cups rice in 6-qt. electric pressure cooker. Cover and lock lid closed, making sure steam valve is in seal position. 3. Set to pressure cook on HIGH for 4 minutes. 4. Allow pressure to release naturally for 20 minutes, then carefully turn steam valve to vent position to release remaining pressure. Remove lid and fluff. TIP: If using rice for sushi, season rice with sushi vinegar to taste while still warm. To make your own sushi vinegar combine ½ cup unseasoned rice vinegar, ¼ cup sugar and 2 tsp. salt in small saucepan. Cook on LOW heat, stirring often, until dissolved.
