Argo Baking Powder is a widely used, gluten-free, and aluminum-free, double-acting leavening agent packed in 8.1 oz resealable, recyclable plastic containers. It is ideal for cakes, biscuits, and muffins, providing a consistent, light, and airy rise. When adding to a quick bread, use approximately 1 1/4 tsp. to 2 tsp. per cup of flour and 1 to 2 tsp. per cup of flour for cakes. Use 1/2 tsp. to 1 tsp. per 9 X 13 pan or per 4 dozen cookies. Mix with flour for more uniform dispersion throughout baked products. Cookies that use double acting powder may hold shape better during baking, since part of the lift comes as the dough warms rather than all at once in the bowl. Double acting baking powder reacts twice, at mixing and in the oven.
